Theo is Feeling the Philly Steak

Posted by: Carlos Vasquez In: NBA Rumors

NBA veteran Theophilus Curtis Ratliff — better known as Theo Ratliff — has been offered the veteran’s minimum contract by several teams in the league. However, sources indicate that Ratliff’s preferred destination of choice is Philadelphia.

Theo has always been known for his defensive efforts and especially as a shot blocker. He has played for several NBA teams including 76ers, Hawks, Trail Blazers, and Pistons.

In 2001, Ratliff was voted Eastern Conference starting center. Unfortunately, due to a injury, he was unable to play. The very same season, he was part of the Sixers team who made it to the NBA Finals but prior to the playoffs, he got traded to the Hawks in exchange for Dikembe Mutombo.

I’d expect him to play very limited minutes behind Dalembert. Philly should look again at the college guys that were not selected in the draft. There were a lot of college seniors who were 7 feet tall projects.

About Us

NBA Rumors was created by three college grads who played Division III NCAA basketball for Berkeley College. Back then, basketball was our life. A day did not go by without us talking about what was going on in the NBA.

Today, we are all working in our respective industries in Midtown Manhattan. And two years after we graduated, basketball started to fall out of our radar as we started spending more time in the office and less time on the court. Therefore, we created this blog to reunite our passion for the love of NBA and basketball across the world.

We hope that you will enjoy our blog. We are intensively working on our coffee breaks to bring you the best rumors that the NBA has to offer.

Sincerely,
