As the new NBA Oklahoma City team begin to settle in their stadium, many around the league have been wondering how will the team connect with the city? One popular idea that has been buzzing the NBA circuit is bringing in one of Oklahoma’s own, former NBA player Mark Price.
Mark Price was born in Bartlesville, Oklahoma and is a retired NBA vet who played for 12 seasons from 1986 to 1998. He spent the majority of his career with the Cleveland Cavaliers, but also spent time with the Washington Bullets, Golden State Warriors, and Orlando Magic.
It is believed that Mark is open to the idea of working with Oklahoma’s team and would consider coming back to his home state in the near future. He is currently a shooting coach for the Memphis Grizzlies and also trains pro-basketball players at a sports academy in Georgia.
Price ranks first among all Cavaliers in three-point field goals made and attempted, assists, steals and free throw percentage. He also ranks among the top 10 all-time in franchise history in points scored (3rd), three-point field goal percentage (3rd), free throws made (3rd), field goals made (4th), field goals attempted (4th), games played (5th), free throws attempted (5th) and minutes played (5th).
