Many people were surprised when Denver Nuggets traded Marcus Camby to the Clippers. Especially, when you consider what they received in return. The Camby trade has also sparked a sort of chain reaction in the Denver locker room because other players, who are committed to the team, feel that they might be on their way out as well. One of those players is Linas Kleiza.
Kleiza needs to sign a contract extension with the Nuggets by Oct. 31st. If he does not do that, he will become a restricted free agent next year — something that Kleiza wants to avoid. With that being said, Kleiza has informed the Nuggets that he will not engage in any contract talks until he comes back from Beijing, where he currently plays Olympic Basketball with his native Lithuania.
