J.R. Smith Remains in Denver

Posted by: Darjan Milojkovic In: NBA Rumors

Late last week, the Denver Nuggets reported that they have signed shooting-guard J.R. Smith to a multi-year contract. Terms of the deal were not released but it is believed that Smith’s new contract probably is not paying him as well as he had hoped to. In the off-season, very few teams showed interest in Smith, which lowered the financial bar for Denver to resign the player. Smith even told the Denver Post that he had not been approached with any serious contract talks.

Nevertheless, the Nuggets are hoping that Smith will improve enough to be considered a starter next season. His main issue has always been a lack of consistency. On certain nights, he can shoot the lights out of the building while on other nights, he can record more turnovers than a High-School basketball team.

About Us

NBA Rumors was created by three college grads who played Division III NCAA basketball for Berkeley College. Back then, basketball was our life. A day did not go by without us talking about what was going on in the NBA.

Today, we are all working in our respective industries in Midtown Manhattan. And two years after we graduated, basketball started to fall out of our radar as we started spending more time in the office and less time on the court. Therefore, we created this blog to reunite our passion for the love of NBA and basketball across the world.

We hope that you will enjoy our blog. We are intensively working on our coffee breaks to bring you the best rumors that the NBA has to offer.

Sincerely,
