On Thursday afternoon, Rockets forward Chuck Hayes suffered an injury to his nose; not taking the injury seriously he continued to practice.
Unfortunately, tests that were taken the day after revealed that his nose was broken and he went into immediate surgery. Surgery was successful but Hayes will be sidelined for the next 4-6 weeks.
Chuck Hayes is expected to be ready for Rockets’ preseason opener on Oct. 7th against the Memphis Grizzlies. He is one of the few undrafted players in the NBA who is starting at the power-forward position.
