On Thursday afternoon, Rockets forward Chuck Hayes suffered an injury to his nose; not taking the injury seriously he continued to practice.
Unfortunately, tests that were taken the day after revealed that his nose was broken and he went into immediate surgery. Surgery was successful but Hayes will be sidelined for the next 4-6 weeks.

During the opening minutes of Argentina’s semi-final loss to Team USA in Beijing, Ginobili injured his left foot in a play away from the ball and did not return to action. Two months earlier, he had injured the very same spot in his leg during the NBA Playoffs but improved enough to be eligible to play in the Olympics.
The Memphis Grizzlies have inked a deal with Iranian big man, Hamed Haddadi. According to sources, he has signed a multi-year deal that is worth close to that of a 1st round draft pick. Terms of the contract have not yet been disclosed.

When Shaun Livingston badly injured his knee in 2007, few people believed that he was ever going to play professional basketball again. However, he has proved many critics wrong because today, he is able to fully participate in full-court basketball activities. Livingston has actually recovered so well that he is now exploring the possibility of signing with a NBA team.
Former Gator and NCAA Champion, Taurean Green is expected to be the latest NBA player going overseas. Green has confirmed that he will sign a one year deal with the Spanish club, CAI Zaragoza. The terms of the deal have not yet been disclosed.
